About

Trans Tasman Media, originally Inflight Publishing, was founded in the Queensland Outback whilst attending a mining expo in Mount Isa. There, the Managing Director met the owner of a small regional airline. Peter Collings and the first issue of Inflight Magazine for Macair was published!

Today the company is known as Trans Tasman Media. Patrick manages the team and regularly travels to meet with clients throughout Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

The company specialises in Multi-Platform Media Communications across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, with Publications produced and distributed in all three countries.

As a specialist publisher, we produce magazines that can be found in airports, on trains, on board regional airlines, within mine sites, on trade sites and even on ferries.

You may call us creative, partners, event planners or communication pros – call us what you like, we’re here to help you strategise, plan and execute campaigns that tell your story to the best possible set of ears, an excellent means to achieve a good return on your investment.

It was early 2001 that Inflight Publishing soon to be known as Trans Tasman Media, realised that our advertisers wanted to reach our readers in the mining and resource industry.

To assist our readers, the first Mining and Industrial Resources Expo was organised in the Township of Moranbah, the objective was to take our advertisers (exhibitors) to the mining community itself. The event was known as the “Heart of Coal Country Trade Show” and quickly became a success for the exhibitors and the mining community of Central Queensland.

Trans Tasman Media, also known as Trade Show Organisers, continued to be involved in event management in the townships of Emerald, Darwin, Rockhampton, Cairns and Port Moresby and continues today with events planned throughout the whole of Australia.
